Priniciple vasectomy and No-Scalpel vasectomy
Vasectomy is a simple surgical procedure used as a permanent form of male birth control. Vasectomy is an ideal choice for couples who already have children.
In UroKlinikum our clients have the option of vasectomy in the form of outpatient procedure lasting 30 to 40 minutes. The surgery is performed under local anesthesia in our operating room.
Performance precedes a comprehensive urological examination lasting about 30 minutes.
After the surgery
We recommend 24 hours of rest, but you should be able to work without significant restrictions later on.
After the vasectomy it is necessary to verify the effect of the procedure. The spermiogram is recommended within 5-6 weeks after the surgery to confirm the absence of live sperm in the ejaculate. Until then, another form of contraception during sexual intercourse is required.
A vasectomy won't affect your sex drive or ability to enjoy sex. You will still have erections and produce nearly the same amount of fluid (semen) when you ejaculate. The only difference is, that your semen won't contain sperm, which means that you can't get a woman pregnant.
